Courier prices are going up — YouSend is still the better deal

Courier companies are raising their prices. Since early July, the fuel surcharge on express shipping has risen from 40% to 55% at UPS and from 38% to 53% at FedEx. Fuel alone has made express delivery about 11% more expensive.

DHL Express is adding a seasonal surcharge from 1 October to 5 February: €0.30 per kilogram on shipments to Europe and €0.50 to the US. From January, DHL is also putting up its prices in Latvia by an average of 4.9%.

For our part, we are holding prices down: YouSend is not raising its markup, and delivery to parcel lockers costs the same as before. Shipping with us is still up to 65% cheaper than booking direct with the courier companies.
