How long the parcel then travels does not affect that. Tracking still matters, though: dispatching on time with tracking feeds into the Star Seller badge and into Etsy protection for lost orders.
In mid-2026 the US ended duty-free entry for low-value parcels, and Etsy now requires sellers outside the US to ship there on DDP terms, with duties paid by the sender. We do not support that model: we do not pay duties for you, we do not pick HS codes and we do not act as a broker. Our side is the shipment, tracking, insurance and the export invoice; the duties and the DDP requirements are yours to cover separately. The rule is simple: the item must not move inside the box or touch its walls. Wrap the piece in bubble wrap, take a box with room to spare, and fill the voids on every side, including the bottom and the lid. For ceramics and glass, double boxing is safer: a smaller box inside a larger one, with cushioning in between. There is a detailed walkthrough in our packing guide.
Without tracking you are on your own in any dispute. Purchase Protection covers a lost order at the expense of Etsy, but the marketplace sets the conditions: dispatch on time, valid tracking and a timely reply to the buyer. Check the Etsy help pages for the exact conditions. Dispatching on time with tracking also feeds into the Star Seller badge. And with us that shipment costs noticeably less than a direct carrier rate.
