In the calculator, select Germany as the origin country and enter the weight and dimensions of the parcel. You will see the available options with transit times and prices.

Place the order

You will need the collection address in Germany, the name and phone number of the sender, a description and the value of the contents, and your own address and phone number in Latvia.

We arrange the collection

We arrange the label and the collection time with the sender directly. All they have to do is hand the parcel to the courier.

Receive the parcel

As soon as the order is placed, you get a tracking number. Follow the parcel on the tracking page until it arrives at your address in Latvia.

When you might need it

Germany is one of the most common origins for inbound deliveries to Latvia. Most parcels fall into one of three scenarios.

Buying from a supplier in Germany

The supplier releases the goods at their warehouse but does not arrange delivery to Latvia: samples, spare parts, equipment. The courier collects the parcel from the warehouse, and you receive the invoice in Latvia. For regular shipments, we offer individual terms and payment by invoice.

The seller does not ship to Latvia

Car parts, electronics, items from classified ads or from a shop that only ships within Germany. You place the order with us, and the courier collects your purchase from the seller at their address. You pay the seller for the goods yourself.

Belongings and gifts from family and friends

Personal belongings and gifts from family and friends in Germany, or your own items being returned by a partner or client. The sender does not need to go to the post office — the courier comes to them.

Customs and paperwork

Germany is in the EU, so there is no customs clearance, no duties and no import VAT. The flat 3 € duty per line item introduced on 1 July 2026 does not apply to parcels from Germany: it only concerns non-EU countries.

  • A description of the contents and the value of the goods: the carrier requires both even within the EU, and without a value the order cannot be placed.
  • Sender details: the collection address in Germany, a contact name and phone number, and ideally an e-mail address.
  • Restricted items: DHL and FedEx each have their own list of what they will not carry.

Within the EU there are no customs formalities — all you need is a description and the value of the contents.

What cannot be shipped

DHL and FedEx do not accept dangerous or prohibited goods. The standard list is below.

Flammable liquids, gases and aerosols
Weapons, weapon parts and ammunition
Narcotic and psychotropic substances
Perishable food without special packaging
Lithium batteries shipped on their own, not inside a device
Cash, jewellery and precious metals
The list is not exhaustive: each carrier has its own restrictions. If in doubt, check with our team before you order.
