How to track a parcel

  1. Find your shipment number

Your YouSend number (starts with YS, e.g. YS12345) is in the order confirmation email and in your account under "Shipments". The carrier tracking number arrives by email once the parcel is handed over to the carrier — the sender can share it with you as well.

  2. Enter the number in the field above

Either works: the YouSend number or the carrier tracking number — UPS, FedEx, DPD or EMS. Type the number without spaces; upper or lower case makes no difference.

  3. See the status and history

We request the data directly from the carrier: you see the current stage on the progress bar and the full scan history. Free, no registration required.

Which parcels can be tracked

This page tracks parcels booked with YouSend — by your YouSend shipment number or by the tracking number of any of our carriers:

UPS
Starts with "1Z", 18 characters in total
Example: 1Z999AA10123456784
FedEx
Usually 12 digits
Example: 123456789012
DPD
Usually 14 digits
Example: 05123456789012
EMS (Latvijas Pasts)
13 characters: 2 letters, 9 digits and a country code
Example: EE123456789LV

Can't find the carrier tracking number? Enter your YouSend shipment number — "YS" plus the digits from your confirmation email, e.g. YS12345.

Delivery statuses: what they mean

The bar above the event history shows the five stages of a parcel's journey. Here is how to read them:

Label created
The sender has booked the parcel and the carrier has received the shipment data. The carrier does not have the parcel itself yet, so no events appear in the history.
We have your package
The carrier has received the parcel: the first scan at courier pickup or at the depot.
On the way
The parcel is moving along its route through sorting hubs. Every new scan appears in the history on this page.
Out for delivery
The parcel is on the delivery vehicle and is usually delivered by the end of the working day.
Delivered
The parcel has been delivered. The event history shows the date, time and place of delivery.

The separate "Needs attention" status marks an event that needs action: a failed delivery attempt, an address correction, a customs check or a return. In that case, contact us — we will help sort it out.

Parcel tracking FAQ

Which number should I enter?

Either one: the YouSend shipment number (starts with YS, shown in the confirmation email and in your account) or the carrier tracking number — UPS, FedEx, DPD or EMS. The result is the same.

Why can't I find my parcel by its number?

Check that you have entered the number without spaces or extra characters. This page tracks parcels booked with YouSend. If the order has just been created, the carrier has no data yet — the first events usually appear within a day of the parcel being handed over.

How often is the status updated?

The data comes directly from the UPS, FedEx, DPD and EMS systems and is updated with every scan of the parcel: at pickup, in sorting hubs, at the border and on delivery. The result on this page may be cached for up to 10 minutes.

My parcel has been "In transit" for days with no new events — is that normal?

Yes. On international routes, 1–3 working days may pass between scans while the parcel travels between sorting hubs or clears customs. If there are no updates for more than 5 working days, contact us — we will check the shipment with the carrier.

What does the "Needs attention" status mean?

The carrier has reported an event that needs action: a failed delivery attempt, an address correction, a customs check or a return. Contact us and we will tell you what to do next.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Tracking is completely free and no registration is needed. YouSend customers also see the statuses of all their shipments in their account under "Shipments" — along with labels and invoices.
